Ideal hotel for a getaway, just use the toilets in the downstairs lobby for privacy
Great location, large and diverse breakfast, nice staff, very modern and clean
The toilets in the standard rooms have virtually no door. So you hear everything. Similarly, the shower door did not close well

Our stay was lovely and I enjoyed coming back as visited in my childhood..
We loved the location.. not too far to walk to local restaurants but far enough away not to hear the town noises. The breakfast room area was a lovely feel comfortable and calming. The staff were always helpful. Breakfast buffet was always refreshed and topped up.
The floor area to stand at the sink was freezing..I put towels on the floor if I was doing hair and make up as it was uncomfortable.. recommend some slippers! And robes for a more comfortable feel as you stepped out the shower and was cold.. the towels weren’t the biggest towels for women on the curvier side. Very basic towels. For £165 a night a little more luxury could be added there. The shower always leaked so the floor towel was always soaking wet. The lighting was dark so difficult to see doing makeup.. and once in bed the switches only turned off a few of the room lights..the bathroom lights stayed on.. in total 5 switches to turn off lights without the control at the bed head switch control. Nowhere to hang wet towels so were wet still for the next evening as they were only changed once during our stay. Any coat hooks were completely out of reach (I’m 5ft3”)
